The way to our hearts...
anyone who knows us, knows that we have one true soft spot. actually it’s more like kryptonite. SAMPLES. we love samples in all forms, but especially edible ones-usually pilfered from the whole foods bulk bins. So we were quite smitten today when RAOUL our Mexican health food-juice guru smoothie maker presented us with a small offering of love in a miniature plastic cup. His brother had already tried to win our hearts with weird plastic charms…but RAOUL knew better. He would preface his invitation to be his girlfriends with fried rice and seitan. “What day can we go dance?” “When do you get out of work?” “Where do you live?” These normally offputting questions were strangely endearing while indulging in his vegan delicacy. And while we don’t see ourselves falling in love with RAOUL anytime soon, that man makes a delicious smoothie.
